A self-employed strategic advisor and business strategist, Julia Cominos graduated from Pepperdine University with a master of business administration in finance. Julia Cominos is one of two children of Theodore “Ted” Cominos, Sr., an attorney who was honored for his longtime service by the Monterey County Bar Association in April 2019. Cominos, Sr. has been practicing law since 1952, only six months after his completion of law school at the University of San Francisco (USF).

The USF School of Law is known for its challenging curriculum, which characterizes its full- and part-time juris doctor (JD) programs alike.

The full-time JD program at the USF School of Law lasts for around three years. It requires the completion of at least 87 units of course credit prior to graduation; 49 of those are earned from core courses relating to such topics as legal writing, civil procedure, and torts.

Full-time students complete the bulk of these required courses throughout their first year at the USF School of Law. At this period, students may also be required to take at least one evening class a semester. During their second and third years, full-time students are given more flexibility to choose between day and evening classes depending on their personal schedule.

Students in the part-time JD program must also earn a total of 87 course credit units. However, these courses are taken at a slower rate and are generally only available during the day. Most first-year students take only three their first semester and four during their second semester.

Following their first year, part-time JD students can continue meeting the requirements of their curriculum by exclusively taking day classes but also have the option of enrolling in evening or summer courses.
